i have a taste for Dairy Queen's Strawberry/Banana milkshakes. you can get 'em anywhere though. the Tastee Freeze in Yellow Springs, Ohio had some pretty good shakes, but that's not my hometown. i lived there for a few years and have some pretty good memories of skateboarding with my dog Freyja and giving her some of my caramel milkshakes. or banana. dee-lish.

Which do you like better - football (NFL) or football (soccer)?
i don't really follow sports. at all. but soccer (futbol) seems to be the most interesting of the two options. hockey seems like it might be interesting to follow, but... meh. i'm just not too interested.

What is the first movie you remember seeing in the theater?
i'm not sure... um... Return of the Living Dead? i think. went to the old fashioned Drive-In thee-ay-tur just outside of town many times also. i vaguely remember seeing the Great Train Robbery there. heck, i probably saw Star Wars there when it came out.

yes, i've been to San Francisco. but we had an 11 year old boy in tow, who was NOT AT ALL INTERESTED in what i felt was a holy site: City Lights Books. i didn't get to spend nearly enough time there, but i was there long enough to realize that, yeah, it's a cool bookstore, but man... THE HISTORY. i was walking on the same floor where some very interesting/unstable/creative/wild people had walked on at one time or another.
the photo i'm posting is not actually my favorite spot in my hometown, but probably one of the more odd/significant things i've seen. i was on my way home from my hometown of Mt.Vernon, Ohio, to Columbus when i felt the need to use the facilities at a gas station outside of Marengo. there i found a bathroom adorned with fishing nets, a life preserver and a sign that read "SEASIDE TREASURE". in the middle of Ohio. in a men's room. IN THE MIDDLE OF OHIO.

i can't even remember it's been so long. i get irritated too quickly when i realize that A) the other person can't type or can't spell -OR- B) i get the nagging suspicion that they are maintaining several other chat/IM conversations simulaneously. grrr. hate that. if you're going to talk to someone, talk to them. but if you do need to interact with others simultaneously, JUST SAY SO. jeez. [ hyperventilating ] i'm okay... i'm okay now. whew. roar.
What's your favorite thing about staying in a hotel over the holidays?
? ! ? ! people DO that? well, i mean, yeah, i guess some people probably have to do that, but... why? seems weird. the only holiday i ever spent time at a hotel was during the time around Valentine's Day in 2003(?). that was pretty fun, but i got to drive a rented Mitsubishi Spyder. i got to just chill my way through the winter storm that was slamming Ohio with sex/alcohol/beach/pool activities down in Siesta Key, Florida. what's not to like about that?

not that i'm aware of... but it doesn't really stop me from doing so at the expense of anyone within earshot.

no. no resolutions. but i think some changes in my various habits began to shift my molecules somewhere back in November, 2011.
